Q: What is an SMS?
A:
The Short Message Service (SMS) is the ability to send and receive text messages to and from mobile phones. The text can comprise of words or numbers or an alphanumeric combination. Each short message is up to 160 characters for the Latino languages "English" and 70 characters for the Arabic language.

Q: Do I need to change anything on my phone?
A:
No, you don’t have to make any changes nor adjust your settings.

Q: If I turn the mobile off, will I get the SMS when I turn it back on?
A:
Yes, but it also depends on your operator & how long your mobile has been off. Once the message is sent to your mobile phone, your operator will store the message for a couple of hours to forward it later if your mobile is not reachable.

Q: What types of mobile can be used?
A:
Any type of brand that can send and receive text messages, this service is available to Wataniya users only.

Q: Will I receive an SMS automatically on my mobile?
A:
Yes, automatically as daily events happen.

Q: Can I disable the service for a while?
A:
No. The service will keep sending you alerts updates and scores as long as you are subscribed to the service. To disable the service, unsubscribe the unwanted code.

Q: How can I activate a preferred language?
A:
The English language is set by default when subscribing to an option.

    If you want to receive the information alerts in Arabic language you must enter the
letter A after the CODE selected.

Q: Is there any limits regarding the number of options “codes” I can select?
A:
No. You can choose as many Teams or Leagues that you wish to receive alerts on. You can also use a combination of Teams and Leagues.

Q: How frequent will I receive alert messages?
A:

Game Date & Time Schedule: 1 SMS per day match (received one day before the match)
Live Goal Alerts: The number of SMS alerts will depend on the goals scored during the match.
Final Game Score: 1 SMS per day match, per team selected.
Team Standing: 2 SMS’s per day match (you will only get charged for 1 SMS unit not 2, even though the standing table contains 2 separate pages.)
Breaking News Alerts: 1 to 3 news alerts per week (depending on relevant news release)

Q: How can I know my account profile?
A:
Simply enter PRO and send to 1525.

Q: How much will this service cost me?
A:
 The charge per received SMS is 40 fils only.

Q: What about confidentiality?
A: No worries, your phone number will not be share with any other party or individual.
